Choose the right colour

A good way to way to make any space look good without much risk is to use darker colours for the floor, medium colour for the walls and light colours for the ceiling. Any interior space should replicate the outside world. The exterior environment is generally darker below our feet, medium coloured as you look straight ahead (buildings/trees) and lighter skyward.

A proper advisable paint to achieve a sophisticated look to your space would be the application of neutrals. This includes colours such as gray, navy, buttermilk, black, and when using wood, maple or oak should suffice. These colours are subtle and have wide appeal.
